The headquarters will be situated at the tertiary institution of the serving and active Secretary-General (S-G) of BRICSCESS. If the term of the S-G comes to an end and a new S-G is elected, the headquarters will change accordingly. The term of the S-G is four years with an option to be re-elected for another four years.

Currently, the S-G is Professor Ricardo R. Uvinha from Brazil, and therefore the current headquarters is situated at the Interdisciplinary Group of Leisure Studies, School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
